In 1993 he became the kink of Cajun Joke Tellers at the International Cajun Joke Telling Context, no kidding, in Opelousas, Louisiana. According to Lisa von Eberstein, "Kent's humor is laugh-out-loud 'til ya tip over yo' pirogue funny."
